The cloister is a courtyard in the Arab-Sicilian-Norman style. Above the arch supported by two mighty columns, two boar heads recall the heraldic coat of arms of Lord Grimthorpe. Partly collapsed, it was rebuilt in its original design and enriched with sacred and profane decorative elements. Among these: the seven Deadly Sins, the Nine Norman Warriors, the Deposition and a ceramic tile by Luca della Robbia.

Must-see attraction right at the entrance of the Vila Cimbrone's beautiful garden.

For the sake of clarity: Vila Cimbrone is *not* a historic building, but rather a romantic reinterpretation of a 12th century villa made to satisfy the whim of a rich English lord. Basically an early 20-th century Disneyland. Same goes for the gardens.
