Saint Bernard's Guesthouse

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Experience the feeling of being right in the woods. The guest house of St. Bernard maintained by the Mountaineering Fraternity of St. Bernard Samobor is located deep in the dense forest. There is a cross road near Gostinjac. The place is also designed almost as a playground for children with a swing, slide, basketball football field and the like, while parents can enjoy a handful of tables next to a walled barbecue, bake.

Gogo Picnic Area

Highlight • Restaurant

izletiste-gogo.hr

The Gogo resort is located on the slopes of the Samobor Mountains, in the town of Slani Dol. It is 7 km from Samobor, and 25 km from Zagreb.

The interior of the bar, as well as the terrace, have a capacity of up to 35 people and are suitable for smaller celebrations, which we arrange in advance, with a menu according to your wishes.
In the pleasant ambience of our restaurant, you can taste dishes prepared in the traditional way, among which we can single out: Zagorje soup, baked štrukla, Žumberak trout, Samobor cutlet... We have provided hiking maps, guides and various tourist brochures for mountaineers and hikers.

For all those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, within the restaurant there is also a lodging that offers several different rooms with half board or board.

Eco Center Slani dol is one of the buildings (which is also the administration) of the Žumberak Nature Park. For those to whom the Samobor Mountains are another unknown, they can choose many excursion destinations, and this destination is one of those destinations that when you manage the mountain climbs, simply want to relax a bit and enjoy the surroundings with what kind of snack and beverage. Alongside the Gogo resort nearby, it is certainly one of the destinations that Samoborci, as well as those from the vicinity and further of Samobor, prefer to put on their ticket destinations for enjoying nature.

Cerinski Vir Mountain Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The youngest mountain lodge in the Samobor hills, whose house was renovated and run by members of the HPD Sv. Patrick. In addition to the beautifully renovated and decorated house of the mountain lodge, there is also an old wooden house of traditional construction moved from Krašić. It is close to the eponymous waterfall Cerinski vir (KT8 Samobor Mountaineering Bypass).

He works on weekends and by appointment, except on Catholic holidays and during the summer break. It offers accommodation, home-made delicious dishes (from local ingredients) and drinks, and especially for this mountain lodge, St. Patrick's pale ale green beer is also produced.

Cerinski Vir Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

The most picturesque waterfall in the Samobor hills is located in the canyon of Javorački potok and for a long time it was hidden from the view of local mountaineers who stumbled upon it in 1927, after returning from a trip to Japetić. Hidden in the woods, separated from the world by recently difficult roads, its noise is heard before reaching a notch down which flows a beautiful 10-meter waterfall. It is especially beautiful in spring and autumn, when the stream is rich in water, while in summer it can dry out.

Until 2016, hiking to Cerinski vir required a bit more effort from mountaineers and hikers than is the case with other valuable Samobor excursion locations, but since 2016 the road to the waterfall is much more accessible thanks to the efforts of HPD Sveti Patrik members. After arranging a mountain lodge on Cerina, they cleaned part of the Javorec stream, cleared part of the trail, set up two bridges over the stream and enabled everyone who is ready for a small forest adventure to easily reach the foot of the waterfall and enjoy another pearl of Samobor hills.
