Wutach resurgence

Highlight • Natural Monument

Here, the water that seeps away a few hundred meters upstream at the old Rümmelesteg resurfaces in several places.

Very beautiful and idyllic path. But always keep your eyes open where you are going! It is not entirely safe. Sturdy shoes with a good tread are important here!

Wutach bridge

Highlight • Bridge

A somewhat newer bridge – much more stable than the other wooden footbridges that you cross during the tour.

Old Rümmele Footbridge

Highlight • Bridge

Karl Rümmele was a railway construction engineer at the Baden State Railways. It was he who set the idea for a continuous walk through the Wutachschlucht with webs rolling. A special feature was the construction of the bridges as suspension bridges. They were anchored one-sidedly in the rock while resting on the other side on a stone pillar. If now the pillar would be destroyed by flood, the bridge still hangs freely at the rock.

The highlight of a beautiful hike through the Wutachschlucht. These walls are impressive and invite you to linger. A perfect place to rest, play and eat. Highly recommended!

The Wutach Gorge is always worth a hike. From the starting point gravel road left down to Wutach. Beautiful in the forest and very pleasant at the current temperatures. The path through the gorge is easy to walk on and always offers beautiful photo opportunities. Unfortunately, 4/5 of the way back from the kiosk is a pure tar road and …

Inspired by @Yvonne, I did a long-saved tour in the Black Forest. 😊

It was a long time ago... because part of the tour had already been recaptured by nature 🤣 but without adventure it's boring 😉 (I didn't know what was to come...) 🫣

The gorge was super beautiful and adventurously interesting. The way back was boring. Forest path uphill, then old, unused road.

After about an hour's drive to the Wutachmühle, it went straight uphill. The 2.5 km to the Burkhardhütte was tough. Not the way as such, no, the sun burned mercilessly on the neck. After we reached the forest for the descent into the valley of the Wutach, it got a little more pleasant. Overall, a very nice tour, especially the …
