Agriturismo Valle Galfina

Highlight • Restaurant

This is definitely one of the beautiful agriturismo farms in Sicily. It is located on the edge of the small town of Linguaglossa and is picturesquely situated amidst vineyards. Since you grow here yourself, you can treat yourself in the evening a good drop of in-house production. The rooms are large and it was no problem to take the wheels in.

Lava Flow in Pineta di Linguaglossa

Highlight • Natural Monument

In this section of the Pista Altomontana, the chromatic combination between the black of the lava stone and the green of the pine trees is a unique and evocative spectacle.

Bivacco Zucco Nero

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The bivouac was inaugurated on 1 January 2024. Other interventions are currently under construction: the external fence and the fountain with the manual pump. The forestry team did an excellent job: the bivouac is not only new but has various elements that make it one of the most beautiful on Etna.
- It is covered internally and externally with wood and this improves thermal insulation.
- The excellent quality of the wooden window frames also makes it more comfortable
- It is very panoramic: You can admire most of the villages under the northern slope of Etna
- The two very comfortable wooden deckchairs are the best of this bivouac. Two pearls typical of the Alps but unprecedented on Etna: the forestry department really did an excellent job!
