Naturum Göhrde — Forest Museum and Nature Trail

The museum building was built in 1672 and belonged to the former hunting lodge as the «Celler Stall». In 1837, when hunting in the Göhrde flourished again under King Ernst August, the Celle stables were renovated. From 1869 the house served as an apartment for forest officials and forest workers. In 1980 the building was acquired by the municipality and renovated. Since 1985, the half-timbered building on König-Georg-Allee has housed the 'Naturum Göhrde', a forest museum.
