The Causse Méjean is part of the Grands Causses located in the southern part of the Massif Central. Covering an area of 340 km², it is the highest of the Caussenards plateaus with an altitude varying from 800 to 1247 meters. The Causse Méjean is a limestone land with rounded reliefs, depressions and dolomitic chaos that break the monotony of this plateau.
