Trail Junction to Mala Mojstrovka

Highlight • Trail

At this point, at the parking lot at the Vrsic Pass, two very different paths up to the Mala (Kleine) Mojstrovka begin or end. The path to the north leads up the eastern slope of the rock massif, and then around the NE corner in a westerly direction to the Hanzova Pot via ferrata on the north side of Mojstrovka. The other path leads in a south-westerly direction up the wooded slope, then turns into a strenuous, steep gravel path directly on the rock face, and then in a sharp bend in a north-westerly direction on a sloping ridge over 400 m high on difficult ground (rock slabs with gravel! ) to lead to the summit. A circular tour is possible from this point: 4.2 km, 640 meters in altitude, pure walking and climbing time 1.5 to 2 hours; with long breaks around four hours. How around is a matter of personal preference. Apparently, most people prefer to choose the North Face via ferrata for the ascent!

Via Ferrata Hanzova Pot

Highlight • Climb

The Hanzova Pot via ferrata climbs the north face of the Mojstrovka massif. He presents no particular difficulties. There are wonderful views of the mountain ranges in the northeast and down to Kranjska Gora.

This flatter spot around 100 m below the summit of Mala (Kleine) Mojstrovka is ideal after conquering the via ferrata on the north face if you want to rest with a wonderful view and then climb unsecured over the rugged rocks to the summit.

Mala Mojstrovka (2,333 m)

Highlight • Summit

You need to be sure-footed as there is a lot of loose rubble. Great view..

Fascinating, but also strenuous ascent or descent over 400 m altitude on or along a ridge where the rock walls drop steeply (almost vertically) on one side (east), while slabs of rock on the other side (west) drop obliquely - with lots of gravel. And at the same time changing great views of the Prisank massif and behind it the Triglav massif, down into the valleys to the Soca valley and the surrounding mountain ranges and to the Vrsic pass.

A strenuous steep path that leads directly to a rock face through high gravel. Even with the wire rope safety device attached, it is still difficult and takes a lot of strength!
