Former US Army Ammunition Depot Schifferstadt Forest

The french Ammunition Camp was directly adjacent to the PSP 77 and lay in the northeast corner of the forest. Also the driveways to the two camps were directly next to each other. The french Camp was quite small and consisted, to close the visible remainders, only from simple warehouses (partially with splinter protection walls).

The PSP 77 had formerly 30 earth-covered ammunition warehouses of old building type (Type II Magazines), of which 11 are still present, some more filled with earth, the rest was removed. In addition, further storage facilities, such as the typical open wood storage sheds, must have existed.

The (abandoned) Bundeswehr site deficit of the Speyer site is adjacent to the southern border of PSP 77. This is still completely preserved and consists of 11 ammunition warehouses 50 sqm and 5 MLH 25 sqm.
