Bottle sculptures

Highlight • Monument

A pleasant surprise along the path are three bottle sculptures. They create a wonderful impression, especially in sunshine.

That's what I love about the Weinviertel: beautiful, calm landscape mixed with culture and art, traditional and modern. The highlights like to hide and want to be discovered

Kellergasse Langenzersdorf

Highlight • Historical Site

A good alternative to the bike path on the main road. Partly with small cobblestones, but easy to ride with a normal bike.

Farewell Statue in Langenzersdorf

Highlight • Monument

Anton Hanak spent over twenty years of his life in the market town of Langenzersdorf. The sculptor lived in the Kellergasse from 1901 to 1921. The Hanak Museum was built not far from his home in Obere Kirchengasse. A sculpture garden is attached to the museum.

Initially, the museum consisted of the garden and the above-ground building of the so-called "Champagne Cellar," which had been made available to the museum association by the municipality. After the renovation work, the works purchased from the estate by the State of Lower Austria could be presented to the public for the first time. The Hanak Museum opened on June 6, 1970.
