Damaged Trail After Forestry Work

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The path is usable, but there are two rough burrowing tracks. Until that is repaired, maybe it would be better to take the forest road.

Hinteres Hörnle summit

Highlight • Summit

The Stierkopf (1533 m) and the Hintere Hörnle (1548 m) are the perfect destination for hikers who are cow fans or just animal lovers.

Both peaks are a pasture on which about 60 cows graze (many small groups), most of which are very tame and can be petted.

Other hikers who have nothing to do with animals can also hike up the mountains and enjoy the breathtaking panorama.
From here you can see the Staffelsee with the island “Wörth” (a “cow island”) and in good weather all the way to Lake Starnberg.

View from Stierkopf Summit

Highlight • Viewpoint

Beautiful view. From here you can see all three Hörnle peaks at once. It's worth the little detour. Not a difficult climb.

Fuchsloch Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

The wooden foxhole chapel is idyllically situated on the banks of the Lahnegraben surrounded by forest. A bench invites you to linger.
