The Wacholderpatt in Börger is a wonderful hiking trail that mainly leads through forests. If you follow the signs on site, you will be rewarded with tree trunks lying across the path.
As part of the trail is in the WTD shooting range, this tour should only be taken on weekends.

The next beautiful hike on the Hümmling paths is the Juniper Patt. This almost 10 km long tour leads through the forests in the north of Börger. There is a lot to discover on this hike.

Today I walked the entire juniper patch. Done again as an Emsland biathlon. So I arrived and departed by bike. 😉

Passing Bronze Age burial mounds, which are hidden between trees and moss, one arrives at a landscape that was once defining for the humpback: a juniper grove in the middle of a heather. A historic sheepfold invites you to take a short break. …

Hiking a little different today.
A nice guided tour with Reinhold Stehr, through the woodland in the north of Börger, with lots of donkes around Börger
Started a little wet at the beginning, but then 🌤

Note: The hiking trail can only be walked from Fri. 2 p.m. to Sun, as the route partly runs through the military firing range …
