New building is at 500 m above sea level. NHN in the Spessart and belongs as an exclave in the Fürstlich Löwensteinschen Park to the municipality of Bischbrunn. The wasteland is located in a clearing on the summit ridge of the Bauhöhe between Hafenlohr and Heinrichsbach, which extends southeast towards Karlshöhe.
New building was mentioned as a cloister courtyard in a document as early as 1540. In 1594, the Würzburg bishopric recorded expenses “for the construction of the new forester's house in Speßhardt”. In order to create pastureland, the space around the new building was declared a cleared area.
