View of Dinas Head and Newport from Ffordd Bedd Morris

Highlight • Viewpoint

Mynydd Carningli, (meaning something along the lines of "Rocky Summit of the Angels") is a really beautiful hill to summit, affording fantastic views across Dinas Head and Newport. You'll gain just over 200 metres in approx 3km. It's worth it!

Bedd Morris Standing Stone

Bedd Morris is a standing stone beside the old road between the Gwaun Valley and Newport. The name means "Grave of Morris".

There are a few local stories and legends as to who Morris might have been to deserve such a marker.

At the centre of the lovely little Pembrokeshire town of Newport is Market Street. There's still a market here every Monday morning between March and December. The surrounding streets have plenty of great places to eat and drink after a walk along the coast path or up the local "mountain", Mynydd Carningli.
