All Hallows Church, Great Mitton

Highlight • Religious Site

Just to the north east of the confluence of the Rivers Hodder and Ribble is the picturesque village of Great Mitton. It is situated in excellent walking country, with riverside trails and lanes, hillwalking in the Forest of Bowland AONB and on Pendle Hill, as well as some delightful pockets of woodland.

In the village — and neighbouring Little Mitton on the south side of the Ribble — are the 14th-century Great Mitton Hall, the medieval All Hallows Church and two pubs that serve good food: the Three Fishes and the Aspinall Arms.
