Church of Saints Peter and Paul

The object commonly called the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Stargard is actually a neo-Gothic Orthodox church of Saints Peter and Paul. It is located at 2 św. Jana Chrzciciela Street, right next to the St. John's Gate. The building was erected in 1889–1890 as an Evangelical Reformed church.

Water Tower

The neo-gothic building was designed by H. Deneki in the 19th century. Built in the years 1896-1897, it is 65 m high and is the tallest building of this type in Poland. The lower part of the tower has an octagonal base. The reservoir part is topped with battlements and blinds. The tower ends with an octagonal cone. The ornate façade corresponds with the Red Sea Tower. The ogival windows are surrounded by a wall of glazed brick. The tower maintained a constant pressure in the municipal water supply network. The tank of the tower has a capacity of 500 m3.

In 2007 the building was renovated.
At present, it is impossible to visit the water tower from the inside.

The Church of St. John the Baptist in Stargard is one of the most important Gothic monuments in West Pomerania, famous for its unique star vault and a 99-meter high tower that dominates the city's panorama. The temple serves as the parish church for the Parish of St. Joseph in Stargard. Classic brick Gothic with a hall layout. Since January 2025, the largest functional medieval bell in Poland (often called Stargard's "Sigismund"), which surpasses the famous Krakow Sigismund Bell in mass, has been operating again in the church. Richly decorated side chapels, unique polychromes depicting angels and saints, and an impressive main altar.
