Huset Lilla Nääs - Fika / coffee stop

Highlight • Cafe

Nice old fika / coffee stop by the side of the road just outside of Floda village. It was unfortunately closed when we came looking for coffee here, but it looks nice on the outside, so probably is on the inside as well. It says it's a boutique (butik) and yoga place as well... looks like a perfect place to take a break of cycling for me ;-)

Old mansion / castle of Nääs just outside the town of Floda. Placed on a little hill, surrounded by water, this is a beautiful place for a like fika / coffee break!

Nääs became known worldwide in the 19th century for its arts and crafts school. The castle dates back to the 17th century and now houses a museum. The grounds also include a café, a craft shop, a riding school, and several other historical buildings.

If you want a quick coffee, cake or sandwich, this cosy little gift shop/art gallery/café is pretty nice. Seating available both in and outside, and there are a few flag poles, etc. if you want to lock your bike up whilst you rest.

Beautiful section of the Gotaleden between Floda and Tollered. The wooden boardwalks leading through the lush green forest seem a world away from the open lakeside scenery just a few hundred metres away.
