This varied circular route leads through the moor, on which you can learn a lot about the moor, its formation and inhabitants from various educational boards. But it is also an idyllic place to just relax and unwind.

Pietzmoor

Highlight (Segment) • Natural

From the Schneverdingen train station you can be on the great, small moor hiking trail in no time at all. Especially recommended in April/May, when the cotton grass bears fruit.

You can go hiking here and "immerse yourself" in the heathland. Not as crowded as other areas in the heath. You should take water for dogs with you.

Today we cycled from the Lüneburg Heath Camping Park to the starting point of the Pietzmoor hike.
More than half the route was along a wooden footbridge.
There were plenty of impressive images. Information panels illustrate, in a frightening way, the extent to which humans have interfered with nature. Thankfully, we've realized the importance of a moor.

Once again we set off before sunrise, today we want to explore the Pietzmoor. This is about two and a half square kilometers in size. A five-kilometer-long circular path allows you to walk right into the heart of it.
The nights, which are now getting a little cooler, create a sensational foggy landscape over the fields and forests in the …

The Pietzmoor has its charm in any weather, the water surfaces, the vegetation, the atmosphere is unique. The Böhme #6 and #7, which rises in the Pietzmoor, is of course still …

Had invited our hiking group to eat kale (vegetarian, of course), which of course could not happen without a previous hike. The Pietzmoor, deep frozen, in the warmest sunshine is of course a stunner. Impressively beautiful views when walking over the boardwalk, impressive the still so small Bohemia and impressive from the coexistence of different geological soils: moor next to …
