Can Robert

Highlight • Historical Site

La Mola can be reached by several paths. The most typical are the Camino de los Monjes and Can Robert, where there is a car park nearby. Can Robert is a traditional farmhouse with two floors. On the main façade it has a voussoired portal and straight lintel windows, one of them decorated. Next to the farmhouse there are remains of an oil mill, a lime oven, tanks and other farm elements. The farmhouse has been documented with this name since the 18th century, but it is probable that there was an earlier settlement, from medieval times.

Canal de les Bruixes

Short path in-between rocks but easy. Needs to be careful with a big tree in the middle of the path.

Holes of Can Pobla

Highlight • Natural Monument

The continuous action of the erosive agents on some rocks and cliffs of the massif has caused small holes. They do not have the depth of hollow caves, but they are also often attractively shaped and offer good views of the landscape. Another phenomenon, with very similar results, is generated by needles resting on a cliff and leaving a large hole in the middle. These types of arcades are usually called rock bridges.

Hort dels Monjos Cave

Highlight • Cave

The Cova de L'Hort dels Monjos and the three cavities on the right hand side are located on the eastern slope of Roca Colom, in an area known as Horts dels Monjos, where there is an abundance of soil rich in substrate and where the community of monks from the old monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt cultivated.

La Mola (1,103 m)

Highlight • Summit

Fantastic place to visit with family, although on weekends it gets very crowded. It is one of the few examples of Catalan Romanesque that preserves its original plan. The bell tower is low and it is speculated that it was not finished. Next to the temple there is a wing, possibly a section of the cloister where a restaurant is located today. An interesting fact is that everything that the restaurant needs for its operation is carried to the top of the mountain on mules.

The highest peak in the natural park. Here is the Romanesque monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt (10th century). There is also a very popular restaurant where you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views over much of Catalonia, thanks to the 1,104 m height.
