Wotersen Castle

Highlight • Castle

Wonderful area... it's also my home. 😁😂 You can drive to Wotersen either along the paved road or along the forest path. The route Roseburg-Wotersen-Kankelau-Elmenhorst (B207) is also suitable for racing bikes. Shortly before Kankelau you should slow down briefly. There is often gravel on the road there.

Sculpture Workshop Wotersen

Highlight • Monument

Sculpture workshop Wotersen:
These are Hans Fuhrke, Reinhard M. Sauer and Hans-Joachim Ruge.
In autumn 2009 we were offered the opportunity to pursue our passion for sculpture at Gutshof Wotersen. Mr. and Mrs. Gaedecke could well imagine that the sculpture workshop would be an asset to the Wotersen estate. We have seized this opportunity and hope that we can also add some visual accents to the estate. In addition, we would be happy if our workshop develops into a place of cultural communication over time. We hope that visitors to the courtyard will also take the opportunity to visit us and be curious. Let's see how it turns out.

Coat of arms stone near Wotersen

Highlight • Monument

This attractive coat of arms stone is on the road between Kankelau and Wotersen. It bears, among other things, the coat of arms of the Duchy of Saxony-Lauenburg and the Sachsenross.

There is also a coat of arms stone between Groß Pampau and Wotersen. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about its origin or meaning. If you know something about this, you are welcome to comment here.

I had already set this beautiful coat of arms stone as a bicycle highlight on December 18, 2019. Unfortunately, Komoot took it out of the map again. Hopefully this hiking highlight will stay there now.
