The last few meters before the Pas de la Trapa you have to put your hands on the rock a little, but it's all easy to do... if you watch who goes up and down here every day, you can do it yourself too.

Once you've reached the pass you have one of the best views of Sa Dragonera

The Pas de la Trapa, also known as Pas de sa Barra, is a pass in which the path passes between rocks, with a steep slope. When we reach the top we enjoy beautiful views over the sa Dragonera natural park.

The Trapa viewpoint is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Mallorca. It is located in a nature reserve, and next to the sa Dragonera natural park, it is one of the best preserved and wildest natural areas on the island.

To reach the viewpoint you pass next to an old Trappist monastery. This area is being restored, both in its architectural elements and the natural environment (affected by several fires in recent years).

The monastery ruins "La Trapa" can be reached, among other things, via an ascending hiking trail from the fishing village of Sant Elm. The former Trapist monastery from the 18th century spreads out in front of you like a jewel. It is constantly being lovingly restored and is therefore very well preserved, despite being well known among hikers. With a gentle walk to the viewing platform you can marvel at the old mill and former terraced fields. A very peaceful place, perfect for a hiking break!
