Highlight • Summit

Mont Foster is named in memory of Judge Samuel Willard Foster, an important figure in the region's history. Its summit is marked by a distinctive wooden observation tower, built in 1995 by 30 volunteers from a local Scout group, standing about 9.75 metres tall and offering a genuine 360-degree panorama over the Green Mountains. The mountain now sits within a protected area managed by Corridor Appalachien, secured after a long conservation battle against a proposed real estate development in the early 2000s.
