Langer Stein (Historic Boundary and Court Stone)

The "Lange Stein" stands on the old elevated road Göllheim - Alsenborn and was formerly a place of justice for the Stauf rulers and a boundary stone (Sippersfeld - Rosenthal Monastery). Behind this big stone is a bench; another bench stands on the other side of this great crossroads.
As a judgment stone, it was "once surrounded by smaller stones that bore a cross as a sign of justice". Some of these smaller stones are still standing around this large stone. In this respect, it is reminiscent of Ramsen's "Stumpfwaldgericht".
The Long Stone is also an old boundary stone. It has the following characters on it:

This wonderful hiking trail runs almost the entire way to the Göllheimer Häuschen parallel to the road or the asphalted forest path. Since the Koomot router always chose the road as the best route, I've uploaded a picture to show that this is the better option for hikers. Beautiful path, very easy to walk, wide and great shade.
