10 years ago we ran the Rheinsteig stage Kaub - Lorch and it was a rain tour...

Even if it doesn't always have to or should be perfect weather - for some areas, landscapes and/or tours it's just too bad to walk them in lousy conditions.

Harder than it looked, thankfully the steepest climbs up the Mountain we're at the beginning. Cause by the end I could hardly be arsed to move.

Overall 6/10 I wasn't expecting to see much, (i.e. Kodak Moments, and was only disappointed by my back breaking gear.), as it turned out at the last section I had a Trash Panda (i.e. …
A long weekend in the Rheingau, with the Wispertaunussteig on the program on Saturday and Sunday. To get in the mood, we hiked on one of the (allegedly) most beautiful Wispertrails, the "Rhein-Wisper-Glück" on today's arrival day and once again met the Rheinsteig, which we climbed in 2021.

So we took a different route to Clemenskapelle. From here we had the first beautiful view. Many more beautiful views followed on the Wispertrail "Rhein-Wisper-Glück". For me one of the …

Since I am traveling to this hike by train, this Wisper Trail begins for me with an access route from the train station in Lorchhausen to the actual hiking trail, which starts at the level of the Rheinsteig and initially leads a few kilometers up the Rhine. Great Rhine panoramas and beautiful paths through vineyards make this section particularly attractive, …
