October 30, 2022,Der Mindelheimer Klettersteig ❤️ ein Traum über die Fiderepasshütte 😍🏔
A day like in a picture book 🥰

After I was able to assess the situation on the mountains very well yesterday, but I dared to do the Mindelheim via ferrata...

Also a classic that I actually don't want to do until next year, but everything just went really well 🤗 The weather and conditions were really perfect 🌞

Spontaneous morning round and a bit of heat training in the best weather on the Mindelheim via ferrata. As expected, there was a lot of activity, although not like it was at the weekend.
The tour took place at a light running pace, covering around 1350 m on foot and 200 m by bike.

- Start Mittelberg car park Gasthaus Schwende(6€)
- Fiderepasshütte (closed since 17.10.)
- Mindelheim via ferrata (the 3 Schafalp heads)
- Kemptner head
- Descent via rear Wildental

After we were allowed to walk the climb in mid-September due to bad weather, I simply had to use the day today. So off to Mittelberg and made the climb. And what …

A via ferrata for the first time in a long time!
Very well secured, but caution is still advised. Endless ups and downs. You have to earn this via ferrata; it's about a 2-3 hour climb, about a 4-5 hour climb, and then about a 2-hour descent (or an overnight stay at the Fidererpasshütte or Mindelheimer Hütte).
The highest point …

Yessss, I really wanted to do the Mindelheim via ferrata before winter arrived and I did it at the weekend with two mountain friends. A wonderful ridge climb with sections up to difficulty level C.

Be careful: komoot didn't record the data quite correctly. It took us about 10 hours and a total of about 1650 meters of altitude.

A day-long hike in glorious weather. Ascent toward the Mindelheimer Hut, where we met the last overnight guests of the season. Descent via the Fiderepass Hut.

Showing Translation

The tour is doable as a day trip but not easy. A total of around 1500m of elevation, around 3km of via ferrata grade C. It took us around 9 hours in total including breaks and we weren't slow. The descent is quite steep and requires concentration, but it is fairly easy to grip. The climb is fun and offers …
