Porthminster Beach

Highlight • Beach

With golden sands, clear waters, palm trees blowing in the breeze and one of the warmest climates in Britain, you can easily forget you’re in England at Porthminster Beach. The Blue Flag awarded beach is renowned for safe swimming and is a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike.

Hellesveor Cliff

Highlight • Viewpoint

The stretch of coast west of St. Ives is full of rugged Cornish gems, including Hellesveor Cliff. Its proximity to the hustle and bustle of St Ives makes it the ideal place to escape for a clifftop run.

Look east across Polgassick Cove to Pen Enys Point, another stunning stretch of Cornish Coastline.

Fantastic view over Seal Island, the most northern rock of the Western Carracks Reef.

The rocks have been home to a colony of Grey Atlantic seals for over 70 years.

Zennor Head

Highlight • Natural Monument

Zennor Head is a 750 meter long "promontory" between Pendour Cove and Porthzennor Cove. With views of the Atlantic, it is 1 km northwest of the village of Zennor and 1.6 km east of the nearest promontory, Gurnard's Head.

View of Portheras Cove

Highlight • Beach

Stunning views over the sea and Portheras Cove. This is the wildest and possibly the most beautiful stretch of the coast around the Land's End peninsula.

A ship ran aground on the beach in 1963. Sharp pieces of wreckage meant that the area was dangerous for beachgoers. The wreck was cleared up in 2004.

View of Cape Cornwall

Highlight • Natural Monument

Look south west and I'll be rewarded with fantastic views of Cape Cornwall across the bay of Porth Leddon. Cape Cornwall is one of only two capes in the UK. You can walk all the way up to the chimney stacks.

Man's Head Rock Formation

Highlight • Natural Monument

Man’s Head is a rocky outcrop that, as you may expect, bears a striking resemblance to a man’s head, especially from the seaward side. As well as quirky geology, you are afforded a wonderful view out to sea and over Porthmeor Beach.
