Huta Paprocka - an iron forge founded in 1703 by Baron Baltazar Erdmann Promnitz, who ruled in the Pszczyna entourage, near the village of Paprocany (now a district of the city of Tychy, at 44 Nad Jeziorem Street), it operated until 1878.
In 1775 the prince of Pszczyna, Frederick Erdmann of Anhaltu-Köthen, expanded the steelworks and named it after his son - Ludwik. In 1778 August Kiss (father of the sculptor August Kiss) became its manager. In 1835, engineer John Baildon modernized the plant. In 1856 a steam engine was installed. The glassworks was closed in 1878.
The remains of Huta Paprocka, ie 3 buildings located on Lake Paprocański and the Gostynka River, have been in private ownership since March 12, 2010.
On November 21, 2014, the Huta Paprocka restaurant with a conference room was opened in the renovated buildings of the former steelworks.

Tyskie from a tank is a real fresh beer straight from the brewery, which has not been pasteurized or microfiltrated. For this reason, it has the shortest distribution system and an innovative storage and bottling system.
Fresh beer produced in the brewery is poured into a tank truck, which transports it directly to pubs on the same day. There, the beer is pumped into steel containers - tanks, inside which there are special, seven-layer bags that guarantee the quality and unchanging taste of the drink. The compressed air forced into the tank causes the plastic bag to shrink and pushes the beer out through the installation to the pouring nozzle. Only gastronomy and the tanks used by it give the consumer the opportunity to compare the so-called unpasteurized beer, available on a store shelf, with a real fresh beer that can be tasted within 7-10 hours after bottling in the brewery.
The freshness of the beer is also guaranteed by very short expiry dates - 28 days from the date of delivery and 14 days from the opening of the tank - and a constant temperature of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius throughout the entire supply chain, from the brewery to the mug. The lack of contact with air and carbon dioxide exclude the negative impact of these factors on the quality of the drink, which captivates the consumer with its fruity bouquet, balanced hop aroma and a bitter finish.
