View of Holyhead Mountain

Highlight • Natural Monument

Holyhead Mountain in the distance is the highest point on Holy Island, Anglesey. It lies about two miles west of the town of Holyhead, and slopes steeply down to the Irish Sea on two sides. Ireland can be seen from the views on a clear day and the cliffs below are an important site for seabirds.

North Anglesey is characterised by its scenic landscapes, industrial past and coastal beauty. The coastline provides stunning views of the Irish Sea, making it the perfect blend for those looking to combine industrial history and the great outdoors.
That's why I come here all the time to enjoy riding here.

Cemlyn Bay Nature Reserve

Highlight • Natural

Managed by the North Wales Wildlife Trust, Cemlyn Bay is a little wildlife haven nestled on the Anglesey coast. The shingle ridge and lagoon attract spectacular seabird colonies and a wide range of colourful butterflies and aquatic plants.

The best time to visit is May to June when thousands of Sandwich, common and Arctic terns nest on the islands.

Cemaes Harbour

Highlight • Settlement

Cemaes village is truly a lovely village and the harbour is also very pretty along with its two beaches. The village looks pleasant and colourful because the village council has made a great effort to welcome visitors. A lovely spot to have a break off the bike.

Stunning scenery around every corner. Amazing road not busy at all and it's nice to only hear the sheep in the distance. Definitely worth coming on a bike tour.
