From Schierke onwards there are no cars or mopeds. That's fun, but then the last 2 kilometers are filled with hikers walking 10 abreast. The Brocken itself looks like a lunar landscape.

After the long hike in the morning, we climbed the Brocken in the afternoon with tired legs. I've never been up there so slowly before. But we made it without rain, snow, etc. 🤣 That was the end of it. On Sunday, we headed back home in the pouring rain.
