Alma M. Karlin House in Pečovnik

Highlight • Historical Site

In this house at Pechovnik, her unusual woman, the female being, survived her last years, as Alma M. Karlin named herself, a writer, a world traveler, a researcher, a polyglot and a Theosophist, and a cosmonaut is an eminent Celje personality that is indelibly anchored in the memory of the city and its inhabitants. She wrote twenty excellent novels, travel stories and stories, and in her legacy there are about 40 unpublished texts, novels, poems and popular science articles, 400 songs, 98 sheets of notes and more than 500 plant leaves and drawings.
Alma Karlin, a permanent ethnographic collection of the Celje Regional Museum, is arranged in which there are about 800 of her items and 400 postcards, but her legacy is scattered across different places and at least once more.
