Rogla Treetop Walk

The path between the canopies lies in the heart of the mighty Pohorje forests, at the top of Rogla.

The path will show you why the nature of Pohorje is unique. You will get to know the trees of the local forests all the way from the roots to the tops of the canopies. You will become a part of forest life and meet many animals and plants that you will not find anywhere else.

The 1000 meter long path will take you through a diverse forest, where you will encounter many surprises and new things that will teach you about the natural processes in the forest, how to protect them and interesting facts that will help you understand what the forest and its inhabitants need it to live and thrive.

The view from the 37-meter-high tower will take your breath away, thanks to which you will see magnificent trees, dozens or even more than a hundred years old, at your fingertips.

Rogla Observation Tower

Rogla is the highest peak in the central part of Pohorje; there is a 30 m high metal lookout tower erected by PD Slovenske Konjice. From the tower there is a view of Lvanščica, Medvednica, Gorjanci, Snežnik, Julijci, Kamnik and Savinja Alps, Peca, Golica, Kozjak and Slovenske gorice, with a clean atmosphere also to the High and Low Tours, the Styrian Alps and the Pannonian Plain.

Pesek Hut

The hut stands on the edge of a large forest glade on the pass between Oplotnica and Radoljno along the road Oplotnica-Lovrenc on Pohorje. The first hut was built here by the Dravinja branch of the SPD from the Slovenian Konjic and opened on August 15, 1929. In 1941 Partizani was burned in fear of being used by the occupation police. After the end of the war, a new wooden cottage was built by PD Oplotnica and opened on July 22, 1952. Since it did not have the means for reconstruction and because of the nearby ski resort in Rogla, the company rented the company to the working organization Unior Zreče, which completely refurbished and modernized it. The hut on Pesek is again registered in the register of mountain huts on May 31, 2012. The hut is permanently open (working hours: winter and summer between 7am and 9pm, spring and autumn between 8am and 5pm).
