The cozy Pizolhütte is located at 2,222 m above sea level and impresses with its wonderful view of the mountain panorama.
The Pizolhütte is located on the high plateau of the Pizol ski and hiking area, on the Pizol Panorama Höhenweg, in the immediate vicinity of Wangsersee and at the starting point of the famous 5-lake hike. Located directly at the mountain station of the chairlift of the same name, the hut is also the ideal starting point for fast ski runs. The Pizolhütte team will spoil you both inside and outside on the beautiful terrace with food and drink in new and well-known variations.

PIZOLGIPFEL
Zum Pizolgipfel auf 2844 m ü. M. führt seit 2012 eine neue alpine Route. Diese ist aus Sicherheitsgründen vom Pizolgletscher in den Felsen verlegt worden und blau-weiss markiert. An Steinschlag-exponierten Stellen wurden zudem Stahlseile als Handlauf angebracht.
Auf der neuen, attraktiven Route lässt sich der Pizolgipfel mit seiner faszinierenden Rundumsicht ohne Gletscherüberquerung besteigen. Der Gletscher hat stark an Masse verloren und wird bis 2030 ganz verschwunden sein. Die Route am Gletscher vorbei ist aber weiterhin recht steil und teilweise auch ausgesetzt.
Den neu markierten Weg erreichst Du mit den Gondel- und Sesselbahnen Wangs – Furt – Gaffia bis zur Pizolhütte. Dort beginnt der Aufstieg zur Wildseelücke. In der Lücke angekommen geniesst Du einen grandiosen Blick auf den Wildsee, den Pizolgipfel und die Grauen Hörner. Entlang des Wildsees geht es hinauf Richtung Pizolsattel und anschliessend auf den Gipfel.
Im Süden des Pizolgipfels geht es hinunter ins Calfeisental, im Nordwesten liegt das Weisstannental und im Osten das Taminatal. Die benachbarten Gipfel sind die Lavtinahörner (2’770 m ü. M.) und der Hochwart (2’770 m ü. M.) im Norden, die Wildseehörner (2’690 m ü. M.) im Nordosten, das Zanaihorn (2’821 m ü. M.) im Südosten sowie das Sazmartinhorn (2’728 m ü. M.) im Südwesten.
Achtung:
Trittsicherheit und Schwindelfreiheit ist zwingend bei dieser alpinen Wanderung.

nach Gigerwald (Postauto-Haltestelle am Staudamm und beim
Restaurant), für ausdauernde Wanderer sogar bis Vättis (Postauto
nach Bad Ragaz).

On the new, attractive route, the Pizol summit with its fascinating all-round view can be climbed without crossing the glacier. The glacier has lost mass and will be completely gone by 2030. The route past the glacier is still quite steep and sometimes exposed.
You can reach the newly marked path with the gondola and chairlifts Wangs - Furt - Gaffia to the Pizolhütte. There the ascent to the Wildseelücke begins. Once in the gap, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Wildsee, the Pizolgipfel and the Grauen Hörner. Along the Wildsee it goes up towards the Pizolsattel and then to the summit.

Sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential on this alpine hike.
