Rellseck Alpine Inn

Open daily from Tuesday to Sunday (also in winter). Located at 1,500 meters, the rustic inn offers one of the best views in the entire Montafon region. The Kaiserschmarrn is highly recommended!

Itonskopf Singletrail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The first 600 meters or so of the single trail are uphill and very blocked and rooty. So you have to get off and push. But once you've got that hard work behind you, the trail is really fun.

May 11, 2024,Rund um den Itonskopf Tour ab Bartholomäberg
There is still a lot of snow. I was able to push my skis for about 1.5 hours in the deep white snow. OK, OK... it's May 😅

Today I felt like driving the beautiful lap around the Itonskopf.
The start and finish was at the Bartholomäberg pilgrimage church. I overlooked the Berggasthof Rellseck and so I had a break at Alpe Itons.
Then another mini ascent and off to the flowing trail.
Somehow I had expected a day-long tour. The greater the surprise when the church came …

Nice round around the Itonskopf, except for a few very short rocky passages around the Schwarzhorn I was able to ride everything (but that doesn't mean anything, one might push longer passages, the other drives through). The summit view is very beautiful, the Kaiserschmarren at the Alpengasthaus Rellseck is a pleasure.

Directions
From the tourist information office in Schruns, opposite the train station, follow the signs in the roundabout towards Bartholomäberg. After crossing the Litz, after an estimated 100 m, turn right up towards Bartholomäberg. You now follow this street until you have arrived at the baroque church Bartholomäberg. There you deserved a short break. A wonderful vantage point with seating …

Today we started with a light drizzle in Schruns and always drove uphill to Bartholomäberg. There was the start of the mountain bike tour “Around the Itonskopf”.
The path to the Rellseck mountain inn continued uphill. There was a hot chocolate and cappuccino to strengthen them. From here further up with wonderful viewpoints and through cow pastures. Now finally came …

The official MTB round with a detour to the summit via Wildwechsel vin Norden.Latonsalpe is open, always a highlight is the beautiful trail above the Klostertal and the descent towards Kristberg (or Fritzensee)
fantastic!

Our last tour in Vorarlberg for the time being went into Montafon - more precisely around the Itonskopf. First we had to climb around 1,200 meters uphill, mostly on a normal road. If you want to save yourself that, you could also take the bus or car up to Bartholomäberg and start the tour from there.
