Church of Weipelsdorf

On April 9, 1922, a meeting was convened in Weipelsdorf with Pastor Deinhart for the purpose of a church building association and it was decided to build a church. The inauguration took place on August 27, 1922. Electric lighting was installed in 1928.

At a general assembly in Weipelsdorf on December 8, 1930, the church was handed over to the community of Bischberg.

The current altar comes from Hohengüßbach. It was installed in Weipelsdorf in August and September 1938.

Especially in the 1960s to 1980s, the church was repeatedly renovated and expanded both inside and out, and many people from Weipelsdorf lent a hand.

In 2011, the church roof with canopy and tower was re-covered.

Until 1954, services were held in Weipelsdorf at irregular intervals by a Carmelite priest.

Church services have been held regularly on Sundays and public holidays since 1955.
