At the southern end of Fronwagplatz is the Landsknecht or Metzgerbrunnen, a four-tube fountain and the largest fountain in the city. The heavily armed Landsknecht figure on the fountain column symbolizes the well-fortified city of Schaffhausen.

June 12, 2024,Altstadtbesuch in Schaffhausen
After I finished the Ostweg in Schaffhausen yesterday, I visited the old town of Schaffhausen this afternoon.
I hadn't seen Schaffhausen like this before.
You've only really been where you've been on foot.

Showing Translation

The day started in fog. But that didn't stop us from visiting Schaffhausen. There was not only the Munot Fortress to see here, but also some brightly painted houses.
