Just near The Inn at Whitewell, great views, especially to the north towards the Dunsop Bridge and the Trough of Bowland.

Officially the village closest to the centre of the British Isles as certified by Ordnance Survey.
It's a pretty little village with a cafe and a pub. It's on the Ribble Valley Jubilee Trail and a good start point for several walks.

Popular cyclists haunt with good food, outside and indoor seating, secure bike racks, drying room, water bottle refill tap. They don't take cards but you can get cash-back from the post office located in the right hand section of the café. Apparently the location of this café is at the very centre of the UK and is ideal for a pre/post Trough of Bowland break.
Open Thurs and Fri 10:00 - 16:00.
Sat and Sun 9:30 - 16:00.
Closed Mon, Tue and Wed.

Waddington Village

Highlight • Pub

With a babbling brook, manicured gardens and chocolate box cottages, Waddington is a lovely village in Lancashire. Its historic buildings house fascinating tales: Henry VI went into hiding in Waddington Hall for 12 months, before he was betrayed to the Yorkists in 1465. Today, you can explore the pretty village and enjoy a slice of cake at the bike-friendly cafe opposite the church.

Bashall Barn Café

Highlight • Cafe

Nice café with good food, excellent coffee. No bike rack but plenty of places to put them with good visibility. A little too swanky for your usual cycling café but welcome cyclists, they even have a 'Cyclists Special' (beans on toast with poached egg)
