The climb to Mount Chiarandeit, (1st peak of the day) starts from Forchia di Meduno along a steep path (local signs) on an obvious trail (black trail on Tabacco topographic map).
After passing the small elevation of Cereit you enter a wooded plateau between beech trees and rocks, typical of much of the piedmont area.
There are no CAI signs …
