Joseph's Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

This small church is dedicated to Saint Joseph (Joseph), the nurturing father of Jesus Christ. Like Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, he is a man on the threshold from the Old to the New Testament. Joseph came from the House of David, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was a carpenter by profession and the fiancé of the Blessed Mother Mary.
Saint Joseph's memorial day in the saints' calendar is March 19th, and the church also celebrates the feast of "Joseph the Worker" on May 1st.

Wintener Mountain Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

Discovered on my “vineyard hike”. The Winten mountain chapel. A quaint, old building and a really nice place to relax. Right next to it there is a bench with a magnificent view to the north-east-south. From the Geschriftenstein all the way down to the Pinkatal. Splendid.
