The Tay Road Bridge was built between 1963 & 1966. It's 2250m in length and spans the Firth of Tay between Dundee and Newport-on-Tay.
You get great views of the bridge and across the estuary from the cycle path and roads that run along the shore.

RRS Discovery

Highlight • Historical Site

Here you will find both the V&A museum and the RRS Discovery.

The V&A is a magnificent building that showcases the best of Scottish design, and the RRS Discovery is a ship that was built in 1901 for scientific purposes in the Polar regions. It went on its first expedition between 1901 and 1904 to Antarctica, and now stands in the Firth of Ray for visitors to enjoy its grandeur.

North Carr Lightship

Highlight • Historical Site

The 101-feet North Carr is one of only two lightships that ever served in Scottish Waters and the last one remaining. Equipped with a light and a foghorn, it weighs a stunning 268 tons. Since it does not have an engine, it had to be towed to the position it was needed which was the North Carr, a set of dangerous rocks located near the turning point for sailing ships that rode between the Tay and Forth estuaries. The ship is part of the Dundee Maritime Trail, a 2 kilometer walk.
