Findhorn Beach

Highlight • Natural

Findhorn beach is a huge sandy stretch from Findhorn all the way east to Burghead, about 10km in total. Inland along the beach are dunes at the Findhorn end and forest at the eastern end so it feels wild and cut off from the rest of Scotland. It's amazing to run on from a space point of view but hard underfoot :-)

Findhorn Heritage Centre and Ice House

Highlight • Historical Site

Findhorn Heritage Centre allows you to delve deeper into the culture and history of the Moray Coast. The 150 year old arched chambers of The Ice House are well worth exploring. This is where salmon bound for London used to be preserved and here you can learn all about the net salmon fishing industry. There's plenty else to discover in the centre, including the lost port of Findhorn.
