Pond with a view of Hausstein

Highlight • Lake

The Myra Falls are an absolute highlight of the Pernitz-Muggendorf region. The view shown is at the lower entrance of the waterfalls. The Hausstein is easy to climb, and at the summit you have a wonderful view.

Myra-Stubn

Highlight • Restaurant

The cozy guesthouse is located right at the bottom of the Myrafälle. Either you drink a big black here before the tour or you end the tour with a longer stop. However, the view from the terrace onto the wooded mountainsides is the perfect backdrop for your break.

The opening times can be found at myrastubn.at.

Myra Falls

Highlight • Waterfall

The Myrabach rises from the so-called Myralucke of the Unterberg. After about eight kilometers he reaches the reservoir at the Karnerwirt. From there, the Myrabach becomes a raging body of water and plunges over rocks on various paths in 14 steps through the valley gorge between Hausstein and Hirschwände. After the Myrabach has fallen 520 meters in altitude, it reaches the lower reservoir at the "Myra Stubn" inn.

The Myra Falls are a place of water and a true source of strength for body and soul.

Hausstein Summit

Highlight • Summit

The Hausstein is only a modest 664 meters high, but it offers you a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. Around you are long chains of wooded mountains and just below you the lovely valley that flows through Myrabach spreads out.

Friendly inn at the upper end of the Myra Falls - and therefore the perfect place for a break on a hike to the romantic waterfalls. The inn is open from Easter to All Saints' Day and in summer you can also enjoy the sun in the beer garden.

Beautiful scenic hike, you have to pay an entrance fee for the waterfalls and the gorge, it's definitely worth it 😊

Furth / Jausenstation Reischer - Steinwandklamm- Türkenloch-Rudolf-Decker-Steig- Gasthof Jagasitz - Myrafälle- Hausstein-Gasthof Karner and back! Very worthwhile round trip! At the end of the tour, the empty carbohydrate stores are refilled with perfect home-made roast pork with dumplings and chanterelle sauce, beer, cappuccino with whipped cream and chocolate and pear cake at Reischer! 🙂🎒🥾

Old hiker wisdom: After a lot of rain, you should go to the gorge👌.
Indescribably beautiful at the moment 🥰

Showing Translation

It was a pleasant hike, as the temperature in the gorges was relatively comfortable. The Steinwand Gorge was dry, as expected, but it's still very interesting even without water. We'll probably visit again in May, assuming there was enough snow in the winter to provide enough meltwater.

There was little water as compensation 🌞 wonderful autumn weather and trees in the most beautiful colors

Next time I'll skip the Myra Falls (way too many people) and prefer to look at the hiking area behind ...
