If Undeloh or Wilseder Berg is too crowded, we recommend the Ellerndorfer Wacholderheide.
I park the mobile home in Eimke opposite the Feldsteinkirche, which unfortunately I can't see because an outdoor service is taking place there. You don't need a track. In Eimke, follow the signs for Eimke Ellerndorf and on the heath follow the circular route signposted there.

Tour from Ellerndorf is very difficult, as the path is lost in the thicket and you err through the swamp.

Today my blue camper sent me to Ostheide.
Besides blue, there was also white. A ⚪spot on my map is Ellerndorfer Wachholderheide.

The large loop, i.e. the Ellerndorf/Eimke circular tour, is NOT recommended due to the lack of signs in some areas and especially in the area of the bridge (image 1) due to the path that is overgrown with thorns and other undergrowth or is not recognizable.
To make matters worse - due to the large …

But it started with the right stuff just in case. It later turned out to be correct. It offered a balanced path with fields, forest and country road, …

The Ellerndorf Juniper Heath lies between the towns of Eimke and Ebstorf in the Uelzen district. Covering an area of almost 60 hectares, it is the largest contiguous heathland in the eastern part of the Lüneburg Heath. My plan was to add the Eimke-Ellerndorf circular hiking trail to the heath. To be honest, this addition isn't that great 😉
