Sinsheim Old Town

Highlight • Settlement

Sinsheim is a busy small town with up-and-coming ambitions, not least thanks to the commitment of the Hopp Foundation. Loads of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The Elsenzufer was beautifully redesigned …

Zuzenhausen and the River Elsenz

Highlight • Settlement

There are some old half-timbered houses in Zuzenhausen. A beautiful village that justifies a detour from the normal bike path.

Very relaxing area and not particularly crowded. There are often walkers and joggers on this section, but you can still drive well.

Elsenz Cycle Path

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

The well-paved cycle path between Hoffenheim and Zuzenhausen leads partly along the Elsenz and partly along the railway line. The section on the railway line is a bit hilly.

March 8, 2026,📍N'gemünd Mauer, Sinsheim # heimwärts aus der Pfalz, Gasthof zur Pfalz, Eselbegegnung (08.03.2026 So)
From Neckargemünd, we headed straight from the Palatinate region to Mauer for a cozy stop at the Gasthaus zur Pfalz 😋 Two donkeys on leads were also out for a Sunday stroll along the way 😂

Cycling is always refreshing - as it was today! We went over the Sinsemer Markt into the Elsenztal. If the rain got heavy, the train would be within easy reach 🤭. With temperatures just above freezing, stopping at the newly discovered, cozy Cafe Hünnenkopf in Bammental was just right. The broken elevator in N'gemünd to the departure platform for Sinse …

I wish you all a happy 2025.

Stay healthy so we can watch each other's bike rides...😉🤣👍

Since Komoot went on strike until about Bammental (maybe I did something wrong?), the time and km information is not correct. It was a nice afternoon ride 😊

The sunny day was perfect for a visit to the Landcafe zur Sonne in Reilsheim. A small town, a small café with a wide selection of homemade cakes by master pastry chef Birgit Weiglein.

We'll definitely be back!

First by bike to the market and brought home the purchases. Then we went to the train station and for the first time with the
€9 ticket to Neckargemünd.
It went well, but I found the ride boring. In complete contrast to the following bike tour in the Elsenztal from N'gemünd via Wiesenbach, Mauer, Meckesheim, Zuzenhausen, Hoffenheim back to Sinse. …
