Begbie Falls

Highlight • Waterfall

3+3 km return hike from Begbie Falls Recreation area parking on BC23 8 km south of Revelstoke. Nice and easy hike to pretty waterfall. Will be spectacular in spring. Lots of mosquitoes in summer.

View of Columbia River

Highlight • River

Here, you can see Begbie Creek run into Columbia River. The views are great, and there's even a picnic table in case you want to relax and enjoy the view a little longer. The river with Mount Cartier in the background is really postcard perfect.

View of Begbie Falls from below

Highlight • Waterfall

Begbie Falls is an impressive double waterfall surrounded by gorgeous, mossy forest and towering cliffs. They're easy to reach: you can hike here on the Bluff Trail that starts at the nearby highway, or you can drive on the service road and park quite close to the falls.

On the way here, you pass a few viewing points, mainly from above, but this spot gives you the best frame of the falls; it's stunning.

Point B is also the starting point. I started recording too late. The outward journey is almost entirely downhill. Basically, the tour is no problem for someone who spends a lot of time in the mountains.
