Arnstein Monastery

Highlight • Religious Site

Nice climb, unfortunately on asphalt. From there you can either go through the Dörsbachtal to Singhofen or just get there. The monastery is also worth a short stay. Especially in summer it is worth visiting the cool walls.

Do not know a nicer area for biking. Narrow paths require a bit of technology in the bike.

Partly completely overgrown, fallen trees and torn away path. You have to carry your bike on some sections. 😎

Loads of singletracks on the route, small stairs in between, wonderful nature

Group ride at its finest, everything included.

We started at the Hauserbachsee campsite and rode down the Mühlenbachtal. Mostly trails along the stream, but also with exposed rocky passages.

When the path wasn't rocky, it was soft and often muddy.

There were always old mills along the stream, sometimes a lost place, sometimes well maintained and used.

Showing Translation

Through the wildly romantic Mühlbachtal, mostly always along the water to the mouth of the Lahn near Nassau. Continue on the Lahn cycle path to Obernhof to the Arnstein monastery. Uphill via Singhofen back to the starting point.

Our guide Frank had chosen the tour very well. A varied landscape with beautiful trails.

He couldn't necessarily know all the difficulties that would arise due to the weather.

It was clear that it would be muddy. How deep the mud still was...

Showing Translation

Nice tour, there are a lot of trees around again and it was very slippery. But many had also been removed, thanks to the tree clearers and path repairers.
