Highlight • Religious Site

Picturesque old port town set on a hillside, with lots of interesting old buildings including several pubs and an old waxworks. The main road winds through the village with a few options for climbing out of the village up the steep hills to the west.

Old Town Hall and Stocks, Brading

Highlight • Historical Site

Standing next to St. Mary's Church Brading is the grade II listed, Old Town Hall thought to date from about 1729 when reference was made to building a New Town Hall, Market House and Prison.
The open arcade on the ground floor is thought to have been the butchers' shambles for the town's market. Today it houses the town's unusual five hole stocks and whipping post.
