Attention... between Bährschlagalm and the dam, the MB Track is only allowed in one direction. So only up to the hut. We drove from the alpine pasture to the dam... So it's against the law... But we didn't see any sign up there... only down there.

A wonderful tour past the grassy dam, an artificial lake into a picturesque alpine valley through which flows a glacial stream, adorned with numerous rapids, all the way to a point from where the view of lively waterfalls spreads out. In between, we found a "hütte" where we tied our souls with a beer.

Day 3 in Gmuend. With rental E-MTB's we drove to the reservoir Durchlassboden. A great area with lots of beautiful views. Last year we hiked around the lake.

So today and yesterday we were on the Gerlos on the road, a really cool tour.
From the Gerlosbahn we headed towards the reservoir.
A really cool way up to the dam. Around the reservoir there are one-way streets, pedestrians turn left and bikers turn right.
According to the motto who can read has an advantage 😂😂😂😂
It went along …

Small but nice, that's the best way to describe this varied tour around the Durlassboden reservoir and into the Wildgerlostal.
The tour starts at the music pavilion, leads past the Isskogelbahn and on to the Durlassboden reservoir. At the Seestüberl you cross the dam crest and cycle over the Bärschlagalm towards Alpengasthof Finkau. On the way back, keep to the …

Spectacular eMTB tour 33 km / 730 m ↗️ 🚴🏽 (also possible with gravel or tourers) from Gerlos near Königsleiten over the Durlaßboden reservoir (here you can swim wonderfully 🐳) up to the glacier tongue⛰️. On the way back you can stop off at the Trisslalm 😊👍🏻 If you want, you can take an easy trail to the right around …

Got up at 4 am to be in Gerlos for breakfast and then off to the bike ... so the plan and so executed .. it was 1000 meters and a challenging ascent to the Zittauer Hütte material cable car. The best reward was the appreciative looks and words of the hikers when you “screw your way up” the mountain …

There is something of decadence about riding an e-bike to the cable car and only walking the last hour yourself... 🫣🫣
