If you drive to the end of the Schnalstal valley, you pass the Vernagt reservoir, which stands out with its – almost unnatural – turquoise color. Almost like the Kriebstein glacier with blue-green algae infestation... 🥺
But the (glacial) water is crystal clear and (except for those with a soft head 😉) even suitable for swimming.
