From here you have a fantastic view of the Großer Inselsberg and the Thuringian Forest. The restaurant doesn't open until March.

Good gravel road, perfect for gravel bikes. From here you can easily cycle into the Hainich. A visit to Haina is worthwhile. There is a farm there with fresh goat cheese.

Of course, it is also good for the small belly 🤫😅.

With rather shady temperatures I went west again today. One of my favorite rounds over the Kindel, past the Hörselberg and finally through the local Krahnberg downhill over muddy single trails.
On the way I had to try out the toe warmer cushions that were provided. Just in time. But when I got home, I counted it first to be …

In the best weather with plenty of sunshine, we went to the children's school with our parents-in-law again today, where we strengthened ourselves in the airport restaurant "Propeller" - accompanied by brisk air traffic.

Then we went back east on the other side of the A4 - with less asphalt. So grandpa got to know a few new ways 😉.

After yesterday's tour was a bit bumpy, I wanted to give my bottom a little more rest today. So the first part of the tour on the Nessetal cycle path was a bit more leisurely on asphalt. Then towards the end there were field and gravel paths again, which was a lot more fun 😉.
