Glave Manor House

Highlight • Historical Site

The current manor house is on the basement of an older building from before the Thirty Years' War. The one-storey half-timbered building has an articulated facade with a middle risalite and a half-hipped roof. [15] Restored in a classicist style around 1830, a porch was added on the west side after 1900 and a staircase on the south side. Around 1900 theodor von Böhl built a manor house in the park near the lake shore as a castle made of white sandstone in neo-renaissance style. Destroyed by arson in 1945, it was taken down to the foundations of boulder masonry. The remaining manor house underwent extensive restoration from 1994. (Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glave)

The route is very beautiful, but the section through the Schwinzer Heide is very sandy, which poses problems for cyclists.

Schloss Alt Sammit

Highlight • Castle

The current two-storey manor house, a red brick building with 13 axes, a base made of granite blocks and a hipped roof, was built according to a design by the Wismar architect Heinrich Thormann in 1859.[17] The manor house dates from around 1860/65. The balcony under the entrance is accentuated by balusters. A row of consoles runs under the eaves and yellow bricks decorate the cornices between the floors and window reveals.[18] For static reasons, the mighty tower above the entrance in the middle of the house was demolished after 1888 during the change of ownership between Eduard Krause and Günther Ehlermann. After 1905, the manor house was given its current appearance with neo-Gothic accents through multiple renovations. The central and two side projections were given triangular gables on the courtyard side.

This morning, as the saying goes, "a stiff breeze" blew and that's why I did the circuit around Krakower See again alone.
The sandy paths here are to be enjoyed with caution. It quickly pushes your wheels away and you kiss the ground. Luckily it didn't happen to me 😀.
