Went on a wonderful puddle relaxation tour, totally relaxing. In Riedenburg we found a bakery with great rolls. You can always do something like that during a break in the rain

After yesterday's constant rain, there was a 3 hour break today. So a cold start just after 8:30 a.m. at 11°. That's warm for December. Luckily I had some of my winter equipment with me. It was another puddle tour, the color of the bike is barely recognizable. But the breakfast at the bakery in Riedenburg was top class and …

This bike tour started at the RV park in Kehlheim. As we're used to on rivers, there were hardly any inclines. There were highlights along practically every kilometer: beautiful bike paths, numerous castles, the village of Essing, built into the rocks, the beautiful Tatzlwurm wooden bridge, and the many picnic areas along the way.

Very good for cycling.
At 31 degrees you have to drink half a 🍻 more often.

Today we covered many activities with a bike tour - from the campsite straight to the Crystal Museum and from there down the Altmühltal past Prunn Castle and Randeck, over the Tatzelwurm to the Schulerloch stalactite cave. Here we had to hike a bit to be able to look at the cave there!

Right at the start of the tour, Hilde noticed that something was wrong with her rear wheel. A screw was missing.😏😏😏
Luckily we found a bike repair shop within a 2 km radius. The rear wheel was removed, the screw replaced and after 30 minutes we were able to continue the journey.
